Maggie joined Altus in the Spring of 2024 as a Financial Advisor to address our growing need and desire for financial plans from our clients and their family members.  She brings with her ten+ years of experience in the financial services arena in Chicago, with seven years at a boutique financial services firm before transitioning to a solo Advisor.  Her focus is to advise and support our clients, and the Next Generation, through financial education and, what we refer to as, Financial Planning plus

Maggie grew up in Cloudcroft, New Mexico, in the shade of the beautiful Sacramento Mountains. She earned her BA from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. Outside of work, Maggie enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, camping, and lifting weights; recently she has begun painting (“to explore a previously thought non-existent artistic side”). She and her partner Bill are the happy parents of Yuri, a 7-year-old black Goldendoodle who is, allegedly, “the cutest dog in the world.”

“As someone who’s always had an interest in finance (I wanted to own a bank as a child!), I feel I have truly found my calling as a financial advisor.  I love to use my problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assemble and put together all the various financial pieces we have in our lives. How gratifying it is to help someone live the life they’d only dreamed of!

I saw both my mother and grandmother struggle to figure out their finances later in life, in the wake of divorce and the death of my grandfather, respectively.  Those experiences highlighted for me the importance of financial knowledge and our innate need to feel in control of our finances.  My passion for empowering women to take control of their financial futures through education and proactive planning is rooted in those personal lessons.
