WHAT'S COOKING - edible: Santa Fe/ Albuquerque/Taos
- How about dinner in Corrales? My suggestion is head to INDIGO CROW and try their saffron mussels or the Catalina chopped salad. Better still, get both. And please tell them how disappointed you are that they took the fondue appetizer off the menu!
- ** They also serve breakfast/brunch on Sundays at 10am - so you can tie that in with a visit to the Corrales Farmers Market.

CONSUMERVILLE: The perfect thank you or hostess present
Enstrom's, in Grand Junction CO, has been making this almond toffee with top quality ingredients since 1960 - actually Chet started making it in 1929 when he launched the Jones-Enstrom Ice Cream Company. My godmother introduced me to it about twenty years ago. It's sinful. And even though you can sometimes find the "petities" at COSTCO, I order 1 lb boxes of the milk or dark chocolate toffee though their website ([Enstrom's]. Occasionally someone even returns the favor!
BARTER: ABQ Hours Exchange - Building Community an Hour at a Time
This local 501(c)3 non-profit is based on a time banking model. Check out their website: www.abqhours.org
This is such a great idea - help with your garden, computer questions answered, they'll even help you find a retirement facility - community members helping one another, building community. Take the time to visit their website - they often have a table at the Sat. morning Downtown Growers Market too.
