Nestled into a back courtyard in Old Town,this little gem shouldn't be overlooked. A recent dinner consisted of Moules a la Creme avec Frites and Salade d'Endive au Roquefort et Noix. It was simply divine! I prefer the front room or dining outside. Dinner served Tuesday through Saturday, tel: (505) 242-1251.

If you haven't already booked a stay in Marfa [see 5/18/16 post). or would rather head in the opposite direction, The Mabel Dodge Luhan House is a great Taos destination. At the end of Morada Lane, you can walk to the plaza or Eske's for a beer. But if you can get a reservation at THE LOVE APPLE or EL MEZE, plan on driving. Room details here.
